Overview
After playing a lot of modern battles, we felt it was time to get back to another era. Where tanks had 10mm of armour, anti-tank rifles were common, infantry relied on the bolt-action rifles and daring play and aggressive attacks won the day. We decided to turn to France 1940. Below are sneak previews of three books due out soon that cover the battles, equipment, infantry and tanks of the famous period in World War Two.

#16407: Act With Daring, France 1940, WWII Skirmish Scenario Book

Act with daring. Spahis on the charge!

Act With Daring scenario book covers the collapse of the French Ninth Army during the first few days of the French 1940 Campaign. In the middle of the Blitzkrieg was the French Ninth Army facing the German XLI Army Group under Reinhardt with the impressive Sixth Panzer division. We are proud to present this often forgotten chapter in the Battle for France.

What we found interesting about this period and the battles of the Ninth were an excellent mix of troops, nationalities, vehicles and equipment. This all combines for fun and exciting skirmish miniatures play. From the horsed Spahi, to the massive B1 Bis tank, the book includes small skirmish conflicts, armoured battles and mixed infantry and vehicle attacks. This all combines for fun and exciting skimirsh play. From the horsed Spahi, to the massive B1 Bis, and everything in between. It was all present. The books includes small skirmish conflicts, armoured battles, and mixed infantry and vehicle attacks.

Battles include the heroic defense of Horne by the Spahi. Also included De Gaulle's famous counter-attack at Montcornet in an effort to sever the 6th Panzer Division's long arm to the west. The scenarios deal with the fight in the Ardennes forest, the river crossings at Monthermé and the destruction of the Ninth Army. Game play will cover encounters with French senior command units as headquarters and outposts are overrun by German troops.

The skirmish book covers 10 battles linked by three campaigns. The first scenarios deal with the fight in the Ardennes forest. The second series of battles cover the river crossings at Monthermé. The final series deals with the push towards St. Quentin and the last days of the Ninth.
